GOLD Music Video - A global collaboration

During this time of isolation and separation I wanted to bring people together. To encourage, inspire and support those from all around the world, all ages and all nationalities to unite in creating something that is an expressive beacon of joy and celebration, but I was not anticipating the level of connection and healing it would bring.
Personally, for me making this video has been incredible and unexpectedly potent medicine. It has brought me into connection with people from all around the world, some lovers of my music, crowd-funders who supported the making of my albums, others who I have taught on retreats, family members or people who saw my invitation on social media and were inspired to join.
I had no idea when I began this process how deeply it would nourish and inspire me or those involved. The daily messages from people expressing an interest, to the videos that flooded in, to supporting people who wanted to join but were facing internal battles that rendered them incapable and then encouraging them along the path until they finally found the courage to film and send me their clips.
Months have passed and each day, I have received new footage. I have laughed, cried and celebrated, but I have not felt alone and I feel deeply deeply grateful for this.
We have all been so affected by lockdown. I know so many people who have suffered from the isolation, the mental health battles as well as from Covid itself. For me personally witnessing my fathers own battle with Covid and not being able to be with him in person was beyond distressing, losing my home and 95% of my work all combined to make this time deeply challenging but making this video has brought healing to the parts of me that were suffering and I feel deeply grateful to have facilitated this nourishment not only for myself but for all those who have been involved thus far and I know this video will bring joy to all who watch it.
