I am really pleased this idea worked. I was really determined to try. But it took ages to find a printer who would screen print on to silk. It is apparently extremely hard and potentially very expensive!

But after a month of searching I found I lovely guy called James and he has done a really great job printing Beshlies ‘Fairy Queen’ onto these tops.

So here they I think they are fantastic. Thank you to my sister Sophie for posing for me!!
All tops are machine washable! But they do need to be iron as this out a the bag photos show!!

Rory Grubb helped me with this. He found me surrounded by sketches on pieces of paper and helped me put it all together to form this wee badge.

They are free at gigs but cost the price of an envelope and a stamp to send out.. might as well just come to a gig no??

Here is another on a lily in my garden xx

  • At the Live Nation Showcase in April I wanted to show everyone the beautiful artwork that we have created for this record. So I manage to persuade Joantoni from the Satellites (best band in the world!) to print them onto canvas for me.
  • There are four in the series.
  • They 250 quid each and are unmounted, so they can be easily sent anywhere in the world…
  • They are also signed by Beshlie whose images we have used, by Jo Lattimer who had worked on all the graphics and by me…

  • Second in the series.

  • Third in the series.
  • This image is known as The Queen. I think she is truly beautiful; her face is the image on the front of my EP.
  • She has also now just become my logo, so soon you will be able to buy badges and beautiful tops with her gentle gaze shinning out

  • Forth in the series.
  • This track was written about Patti Smith after I went to see her play at the Tate Modern, where she had organised a night to pay tribute to Robert Maplethorpe.  She was amazing.  I hadn’t written any new songs for ages and was feeling really frustrated and shit about it. She got up on stage, just her and her guitar and ranted, sang shouted at the audience. She was raw and honest and for me embodied everything a true musician should.
  • So out came this song and then others followed and my stagnant moment in time passed.  When Beshlie showed me this image it seemed perfect, in my mind all the little blue seeds became faces watching beauty.
