Tallulah Rendall – Lay Me Down
(Self-Released)
7/10 – An all round winner.
Tallulah Rendall
Tallulah Rendall has certainly made a name for herself already. Not only has she had appearances at Glastonbury Festival but she was the only musical performer at Dame Shirley Bassey’s 70th Birthday Party.
Her current single ‘Lay Me Down’ has been taken from her forth coming album, Libellus. The whole musical aspect of Tallulah’s work focusing strongely around visual effects as well, which is why each song has had a custom painting created especially by Beshlie McKelvie.
‘Lay Me Down’ has quite a theatrical aspect to it, it’s extremely sultry and burlesque with Tallulah’s vocal unpicking your shirt button’s note by note.
You have no choice but to go along with Talluah’s intentions, so you get dragged deeper and deeper into the song. In the end though, you’ll be left broken-hearted as she quietly slips away. This is a brilliant single form a very talented lady.
